Create an RHT Player

Create an RHT Player — read highlighted text on demand

The RHT Player (Read Highlighted Text) shows a player when a visitor selects text on your page. It is perfect for interactive listening: highlight a paragraph, quote, or definition and hear it with GSpeech AI voices — including translation-aware workflows on supported setups.

Unlike Full / Button / Circle mounts that narrate a mapped content block, RHT reacts to selection. Create the widget once in the Cloud Console, publish it, and it becomes available on connected pages.

  • On-demand listening — play only the text the visitor selects.
  • Great for learning & accessibility — quotes, definitions, and long pages.
  • Cloud voices — No API Keys Required; managed in the console.

How to create an RHT Player

  1. Sign in (or create a free account).
  2. Open your dashboard and choose your website.
  3. From the left menu: WidgetsAdd new widget.
  4. Enter a title (dashboard reference only).
  5. Set type to RHT PlayerCreate.

  7. On the live page, select text and confirm the RHT player appears.

Language / voice and many player fields inherit website Settings when set to Use GlobalGlobal vs custom settings.

RHT Player FAQ

  • Do I need a Custom HTML mount for RHT?

RHT is selection-driven. You still need the site connection code published; you typically do not place a Full/Button mount for RHT itself.
  • Can I use RHT together with a Full Player?

Yes. Full Player covers the whole article; RHT lets visitors listen to a specific highlight without restarting the full narration.
