Create a Welcome Message — greet visitors with AI audio
A Welcome Message plays a short greeting when someone visits your site. Use it for a warm hello, a promo line, or a brand intro — spoken with GSpeech AI voices from the Cloud Console.
Unlike Full / Button / Circle players that narrate page content via selectors, Welcome Message uses Content Text you write in the widget. Keep it short so it feels inviting, not intrusive.
- First-impression audio — greet visitors as they arrive.
- Content Text — you write the spoken line in the console.
- Cloud delivery — generate once, cache, No API Keys Required.

Tips
Welcome Message best practices
- Keep it short — one or two sentences feel friendly; long scripts feel like an ad.
- Match the site voice — leave custom voice off to inherit the website Global voice, or enable custom only for this greeting. See Global vs custom settings.
- Test autoplay policies — browsers may block unmuted autoplay; verify behavior on Chrome, Safari, and mobile.
- Combine carefully — Welcome + Full Player is fine; avoid stacking multiple loud greetings.
